Dr Brian Peters DVM

Brian J. Peters, DVM

Hi, I’m Dr. Brian Peters. Born and raised on the northwest side of Chicago, I earned my B.S. with Highest Honors in Animal Sciences from the University of Illinois in 2003. I then graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. I practiced in Naperville, IL for 12 years and eventually made the move to Naples in 2019. I was at a multi-doctor small animal clinic until the inception of Petology. I have experience in general practice, emergency medicine, orthopedics, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and shelter medicine.

Teaching is a strong passion of mine. I’ve mentored many pre-veterinary and veterinary students and previously served as an adjunct instructor for veterinary technician and assistant programs. I’m also actively involved in clinical trials to help move the needle forward in veterinary medicine and bring promising new treatments to our patients.

I currently serve on the education committee of the EveryCat Health Foundation, the world’s only nonprofit focused solely on feline health. In my free time, my wife Alison and I volunteer with the FWC Southwest Field Lab Marine Mammal Rescue team, providing aid to sick and stranded dolphins and manatees. I enjoy playing volleyball, watching college sports, cheering on the Illinois Fighting Illini and the Chicago Cubs, and reading about World War II history.

Alison and I are the proud pet parents to quite the crew: Duke (German Shepherd), Squirrel (Chihuahua), Clarence Oddbody (Toy Poodle Mix), Clee Clee (Domestic Medium Hair Cat), Lou (Leopard Tortoise), Paco Peanut (African Grey Parrot), and Caspar Milquetoast (Rabbit).

Our goal with establishing Petology was to create an animal hospital that prioritizes compassionate, state-of-the-art veterinary care tailored to each pet patient. We look forward to practicing collaborative medicine and building strong personal relationships with our pet parents. Petology is the culmination of the legacies of the animals that have enriched our lives. We cannot think of a better way of honoring them.

Dr. Catherine Horsley

Catherine Horsley, DVM

Hi, I’m Dr. Catherine Horsley. I grew up in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and have lived in several states throughout the Midwest. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Oklahoma State University before receiving my Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois in 2021.

After graduation, I practiced emergency veterinary medicine for several years before transitioning into general practice. My professional interests include feline medicine, emergency care, and preventive medicine. I am a proud member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Florida Veterinary Medical Association, and Feline Veterinary Medical Association. One of the things I enjoy most about general practice is building lasting relationships with clients and witnessing the special bond between
people and their pets.

Outside of the clinic, I enjoy spending time at the beach, practicing yoga, reading, and watching the Oklahoma City Thunder basketball. On weekends, you can often find me baking something sweet, and I've recently taken up sewing as a new hobby. At home, I share my life with my two ragdoll cats, Belle and Benji.

I look forward to serving the pets and families of Naples and Marco Island alongside my longtime mentor, Dr. Brian Peters, and the team at Petology Animal Hospital.

Sky

Sky

Hi, I’m Sky and I am a lover of all animals. I have been in the field of veterinary medicine since 2012, but my journey has been lifelong. Growing up, I had a deep love for animals and a strong desire to understand them, advocate for them, and be a part of their healing. As a child, I was always the one catching lizards, bringing home injured birds, rescuing stray dogs and cats, and asking endless questions during visits to the vet with our family pets. My passion lies in my deep commitment to the care and well-being of animals and being able to turn my passion into a career has been incredibly rewarding.

I recently completed my coursework for the veterinary technician program at Penn Foster College and am currently waiting to sit for my national boards. I have worked in general practice and shelter medicine assisting with surgeries, diagnostics, anesthesia, lab work, and client education. I love veterinary dentistry, working in surgery, phlebotomy, running in-house lab work, and providing high-quality care to every patient I meet.

At home, my fiancé Daniel and I have an Australian Cattle Dog named Callie and two senior Chihuahuas named Myles and Boss. I also have two children, Riley and Levi, who keep me on my toes. I enjoy gardening, game nights, live music, taking my son to football practice, and sporadic lazy days in the comfort of my home. I also enjoy expanding my skills and knowledge in veterinary medicine.

I feel incredibly fortunate to be a part of a great team at Petology Animal Hospital that provides the highest level of care and compassion. I believe every pet deserves a chance at a healthy, loving life, and I’m proud to play a role in making that possible. Every day brings new challenges, but knowing I make a difference in the lives of both pets and their families is what fuels my dedication

Lauren

Lauren

Hi, I’m Lauren and I have been a dedicated member of the veterinary field since 2017. I am a Certified Veterinary Assistant and am currently studying Veterinary Practice Management. I’ve had hands-on experience in both large and small animal care. Ultimately, I find happiness in bringing compassionate hospitality and care to both your pets and families.

I’m truly blessed to have found such an amazing team at Petology. They are a family of experienced, compassionate team members who all share the same goal: Providing the gold standard of veterinary care to our patients. Working at Petology, I look forward to the abundance of opportunities to learn and further my education in the field I love the most.

Originally from Texas, I’ve been proud to call Naples my home since the early 2000’s. The coastal lifestyle has been the perfect place where my love for the outdoors meets my love for pets. When I’m not at the hospital, you’ll likely find me out on the water - enjoying sunset boat cruises with my dogs, scuba diving, or fishing. Otherwise, I’m at home with the 3 babes who make my life whole: Blu and Mako, my two Australian Shepherds, along with my most recently rescued kitten, Possum.

I can’t wait to welcome you and your fur (or fur-less) babies to our family here at Petology!

Haylee

Haylee

Hi, I’m Haylee!

My journey in veterinary care began in 2016, and I had no idea just how rewarding and impactful it would become. I’m deeply passionate about efficiency, quality, and collaboration, and I love working with others to find new ways to provide the very best care for every pet we see.

I’m proud to be part of the amazing team at Petology Animal Hospital, where I’m surrounded by dedicated professionals who share the same commitment to the health and happiness of your furry family members.

As a Naples native, giving back to my community means a lot to me. I studied Entrepreneurship and Ethics at Florida Gulf Coast University, and I’m always eager to learn, grow, and take on new challenges. Outside of work, I enjoy pet sitting, home improvement projects, riding motorcycles, and relaxing with a good show. My boyfriend Dustin and I have one cat named Rilee and cherish the memory of our sweet dog Angel— and we hope to welcome more fur babies soon!

I’m excited for what’s ahead and so grateful to be on this journey with my Petology family!

Jenna

Jenna, CVT

Hi, I’m Jenna!

I have been a Certified Veterinary Technician since 2009,  although my passion for animals started at a very young age. I recall after seeing many strays on the streets of the Florida Keys during a family vacation making my mom take me to the shelter to adopt one of my first dogs, Dudley! I believe in providing excellent quality medicine and tons of TLC to every patient I care for! I feel that working with animals is a privilege.

I am a native of Naples. After obtaining a degree at FGCU, I decided to further my education and ventured to the mountains of North Carolina, where I graduated from Asheville Buncombe Technical Community College with a degree in Veterinary Technology. This is also where I met my husband, Justin. After working in a small, two-doctor veterinary clinic for 5 years and missing the beach, we decided to relocate to Naples. I worked for 12 years at a busy 4 four-doctor small animal practice, where my main focus was on anesthesia and surgery as the lead surgery technician. I enjoy training new technicians and implementing new techniques into practice. I thoroughly enjoy animal dentistry and educating clients on dental health for their pets. I have enjoyed being by many pets' sides while they have undergone surgeries that have helped save their lives.

In my free time, I enjoy being with my husband and two active boys, Jayden and Jordan, and the rest of my family who live here in Naples. I love being on and near the water, boating, snorkeling, or just out cruising on the boat. Baking and decorating cupcakes is something I love doing around the holidays. I have a German Shepherd mix- Nala, two cats- Cami and Chip, a small fresh water fish tank and 10 hens.

I am thrilled to be part of the special team at Petology and look forward to meeting you and your furry family members soon!

Kelly, CVT

Hi, my name is Kelly!

I was born and raised in Nahant, Massachusetts, a small peninsula north of Boston with just
3,000 residents. Growing up, I enjoyed skiing, sports, and spending time at the beach. My strong love for
animals began when I witnessed a veterinarian and his technician save my father's horse during a
life-threatening colic incident in the middle of the night. Their dedication inspired me to study Veterinary
Technology at Mount Ida College in Newton, Massachusetts.

After earning my bachelor's degree, I worked at a small animal specialty clinic for several years.
During a vacation, I fell in love with Naples and decided to move to Florida in 2016. I have been a
Certified Veterinary Technician in Florida for the past ten years.

In my free time, I enjoy being on the boat or at the beach with my loving husband, Mark. We
share our home with our sweet dog, Bella, and our caring diabetic cat, Michael Cat.

It is a pleasure to be working with the Petology team. Nothing is more rewarding than building
lasting relationships with our clients and their furry family members!
